The Position The Executive Assistant to the Head of School is the central coordinator for the Head of School-s office, managing the smooth running of that office and ensuring the Head of School is prepared thoroughly for each day. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of confidential administrative and executive support related tasks and will be able to work independently with little or no supervision. This person must be exceptionally organized, flexible, and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting a Head of School and the Board of Trustees Responsibilities: Office Management Provide a high level of support to the Head of School including event scheduling and management. Manage incoming and outgoing mail and communications, delegate items when appropriate. Ensure timely response in regards to all communication. Regular maintenance and upkeep of filing for the Head of School. Arrange programs, events, or meetings on behalf of the Head of School including booking facilities, catering, formulating guest lists, issuing invitations or advice to participants, and other such requirements associated with the event. Provide direction and/or backup to other administrative support staff as needed. Ensure all documentation required for appointments and meetings is available in advance for the Head of School. Prepare and distribute agendas and associated paperwork for relevant meetings and take/distribute minutes. Highly developed professional written and verbal communication skills including advanced proofreading and editing skills. Advanced skills in the use of office/education software such as MSOffice (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to collaborate using G-Suite, Google Docs/Calendar maintenance, and a disposition for gaining skills and remaining current in technologies Working knowledge using database systems (Blackbaud)

Job Requirements:
It is preferred that this Executive Assistant should have 10+ years- experience at an executive level and a minimum 2-year college degree. In addition to the 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. workday, this position requires a flexible time commitment to accommodate after-hours events and an occasional Saturday morning Board Meeting. * The salary listed in the header is an estimate based on salary data for similar jobs in the same area.
