Atkore International Group Inc. is a leading manufacturer of Electrical Raceway products, primarily for the non-residential construction and renovation markets, and Mechanical Products & Solutions for the construction and industrial markets. Our business is comprised of two reporting segments, Electrical Raceway and Mechanical Products & Solutions, with total annual revenue of $1.9 B. Electrical Raceway has 2 business units, Cable Solutions and Conduit & Fittings, totaling just over $1.4B in annual revenue. Mechanical Products is a stand-alone business unit with about $500M in annual revenue.

Our global locations include 66 manufacturing and distribution centers in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, China, Australia, and New Zealand with over 4,000 employees.

We are currently searching for an Executive Assistant to both the VP Business Development & Strategy and VP - Communications. This role will be based at our Headquarters office in Harvey, Illinois. Harvey is located approximately 30 miles South of Downtown Chicago.

The ideal candidate will have the desire to be a business partner to the executive leaders that they support, be highly analytical and organized, understand the demands and expectations required, while being able to support and assist with the daily requirements and long-term strategic direction of the executives and the Company. This is a highly visible position which entails regular interaction with Corporate Officers, Senior Executives and Customers.

Manage calendar including scheduling meetings, accepting calendar appointments, and rearranging where necessary

Coordinate travel arrangements

Prepare and submit expense reports

Review employee expense reports submitted for approval

Arrange for in-house meeting space and catering as needed

Arrange off-site meetings, including audio/video and catering as required

Manage in-coming calls and voice mail messages

Manage incoming mail and physical documents by assessing relevance and urgency of action

Responsible for routine outgoing correspondence to banks, investors and other parties Prepare or refine PowerPoint presentation and other presentation material

Maintain data in excel spreadsheets or other database systems

Maintain physical and electronic contact files General Admin Support:

Manage/coordinate all executive level interactions with internal and external stakeholders

Manage/coordinate customer or employee events, such as dinners, conferences and meetings

Support executive in preparation and execution of Organizational Leadership Review and Performance Review and Objective Setting coordination

Assist in the on-boarding of department new hires

Process check requests

Maintain Atkore Organizational charts

Maintain Corporate calendar and BU section on Intranet

Maintain Absenteeism Calendar of Senior staff and manage vacation/travel requests Educate other executive/administrative support staff to function as back-up

Provide back-up to other executive support staff

Work closely with other administrative assistants to coordinate events and resolve timing and other conflicts

Administrative Support to the Team/Direct Reports to Group Presidents:

Order office supplies

Prepare/refine/distribute PowerPoint presentation and other presentation material

Maintain data in excel spreadsheets or other database systems

Maintain project progress documentation and project calendars

Maintain Strategy Deployment Process Document and reconcile spending on department purchasing card accounts

Other support activities as required

Requirements Qualifications

Associate Degree preferred 5-10 years previous experience supporting senior-level sales executives

Pro-active, plan-ahead mentality able to manage and work on projects independently and meet trigger dates and deadlines

Proven ability to work for more than one person with high demands and interact with all levels of management and employees

Flexibility to manage high demand, quick turnaround situations, handle multiple tasks and juggle changing priorities throughout the day which may require OT

Professional demeanor and attitude, excellent interpersonal skills and strong written communications skills

Complete discretion when handling confidential matters and sensitive information

Strict attention to detail and quality

Strong organization, follow-through and project management experience

Self-starter with strong analytic skills

Independent decision making ability to think critically with strong problem-solving skills to provide solutions and to properly review, evaluate and determine which matters should be filtered and delegated

Extensive experience preparing presentation materials for meetings Board of Directors, Internal Executive Meetings, Investor Meetings, etc.

Expert-level with Microsoft Office applications
